GrailScout Privacy Policy

Effective July 9, 2026

GrailScout is built and operated by Rekishi LLC. This policy describes what the GrailScout iOS app and its backend service collect, why, and what control you have over it.

What we collect

• Account data. A device identifier used to create your profile, and - only if you choose Sign in with Apple - your name and email address as shared by Apple.
• App activity. Your team preferences, saved hunts, price alerts, jersey closet entries, search queries, and coarse product interactions such as opening a listing or subscription screen. These power your alerts, recommendations, and first-party product analytics.
• Purchase data. Subscription status validated with Apple so we can unlock GrailScout Pro. We never see your payment details; Apple handles all billing.
• Photos. Jersey photos you attach stay on your device and are only uploaded if you attach them to your closet sync.
• Approximate region. Used for market/currency relevance if you grant location permission. Never precise location, never required.

What we do not do

• No advertising, no ad trackers, no cross-app tracking.
• No sale or rental of your data to anyone, ever.
• No payment details - Apple processes all purchases.

Where your data goes

Data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure (Workers and D1). Search queries you run are forwarded to marketplace and retail sources (for example eBay's public Browse API and retailer product feeds) to find listings; those requests carry your search terms but not your identity. Sports schedules come from public ESPN feeds. Push notifications are delivered through Apple's APNs.

Retention

Operational data is pruned automatically: search run history after 30 days, listing price observations after 90 days, notification records after 90 days, expired sessions after 30 days, and first-party product analytics events after 90 days. Product analytics records use coarse app interaction metadata only; they do not include search text, listing titles or URLs, tokens, purchase JWS data, email, or location. Your profile, hunts, alerts, and closet persist until you delete them.

Deleting your data

Open GrailScout > Locker > Delete account. This immediately removes your cloud profile, saved hunts, alerts, Apple account link, push tokens, and custom entries from our systems. You can also email us at overboardapps@gmail.com for deletion or any privacy question.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update this page and the effective date above.
